What Fix It Proper is

Fix It Proper gives general guidance to trade professionals on plumbing, heating and gas work, using AI. It can be wrong, and it can't see everything on site. It does not replace your own training, judgement, the manufacturer's instructions or the regulations.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for any work you carry out, and for checking it is safe, correct and meets current regulations and the manufacturer's instructions.
• Only carry out gas work if you are Gas Safe registered for that type of work. Only carry out electrical work you are competent and allowed to do.
• The details in your profile, including any Gas Safe registration number, must be true and your own. Tell us, or update your profile, if they change.
• Keep your password private. Don't share your account.
• Don't use Fix It Proper for anything unlawful, or try to get it to do things outside plumbing, heating and gas.

Plans and payment

• You need a paid plan to use Fix It Proper. Plans are paid monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel.
• Each plan also includes a number of questions a month (Founding member 200, Solo 300, Pro 600) and a fair-use allowance to cover our running costs. If an account reaches either, Fix It Proper pauses for that account until the 1st of the next month, or until you move up a plan.
• Each plan includes a number of jobs a month. A job is one conversation, started with "New job". Unused jobs don't carry over.
• You can cancel at any time from Your account → Manage billing. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Founding member prices stay the same for as long as you keep that plan without a break.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. You can cancel before the change takes effect.

Our responsibility to you

We'll provide Fix It Proper with reasonable care and skill. Because it gives general guidance and you decide what work to do and how, we are not responsible for loss, damage, injury or costs arising from work you carry out, or from acting on guidance without checking it, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Your account → Delete my account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
